What is Sand Snow Linen and what makes you special?

Sand Snow Linen is a premium linen brand focused on sustainable, timeless home textiles and apparel. We design and produce products using 100% European flax linen, striving for durability, breathability, and natural elegance. Our mission is to bring breathable comfort and eco-conscious design into homes.

Where are your products made?

We are based in Lithuania (Vilnius). Most of our products are carefully crafted to order and dispatched directly from our workplace, ensuring the highest quality and attention to detail.

Where is your linen sourced from?

Our linen is sourced from European mills, known for their premium quality flax fibers and sustainable weaving traditions. All of our products are made from pure European linen, which is OEKO-TEX certified, eco-friendly, and free from harmful chemicals.

Do you use sustainable practices?

Yes — we focus on mindful, responsible production. We minimize packaging waste, fairly compensate our seamstresses for each handcrafted piece, and avoid overproduction by making only what’s needed. All our products are made from 100% OEKO‑TEX certified linen.

Why choose linen over cotton or synthetic fabrics?
  • Linen is naturally breathable, wicks moisture, and regulates temperature (cool in summer, insulating in cooler seasons).
  • It’s stronger and more durable — linen fibers are longer and more robust.
  • Flax (linen source) typically requires less water and fewer chemicals in cultivation, making it more eco‑friendly.
  • Linen “ages gracefully”: with each wash it softens and gains character.
What is your design and product philosophy?

We believe in “less is more” — timeless cuts, natural tones, and high quality over fast trends. We avoid seasonal overproduction and prefer made-to-order or limited batch runs to reduce waste.

Product Range, Customization & Samples

Do you accept custom orders or bespoke sizes?

Yes. If the standard sizes don’t suit you, we can create custom dimensions, lengths, or special combinations (e.g. extra long curtains). Whether you need curtains in exact measurements, tablecloths in a specific size, or sofa covers tailored to your furniture, we can create them for you.Please send your exact measurements, desired color, and any notes to shop@sandsnowlinen.com for a quote. 

How long does it take to make my order?

All items arehandmade to order. Production time usually takes 2–4 business days, depending on the product and season. Shipping time varies by destination.

Can I order samples of your fabrics or colors?

Yes, we offer sample sets. Use the “Samples” link on our site to order. Ordering a sample helps you assess color, texture, and feel before placing full orders.

Why might the product photos differ from what I receive?

Linen is a natural fiber; color can shift slightly due to lighting, screen calibration, and batch dyeing differences. Also, photography, lighting, background, and postprocessing influence appearance. That’s why ordering a sample is wise if color matching is key.

Are your curtains sheer or opaque?

Our standard medium-weight linen curtains are slightly sheer and allow natural light to filter through. However, we can also make lightweight, blackout or double-layered versions—please contact us if you want less or more opacity.

How do I choose the right size / fit for bed linens, duvet covers, or couch slips?

Each product page includes a measuring guide (e.g. mattress height + allowances, overlap for covers, curtain length relative to floor). If you’re uncertain, send us your dimensions (width, height, depth) and we can advise or build to measure.

Ordering & Payment

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and if available, regional payment options (e.g. Klarna, iDEAL, etc.). Payment options visible depend on your country.

Is payment secure?

Yes. We use SSL encryption and trusted payment gateways. We do not store full card details on our servers. All payment processing is handled by PCI‑compliant platforms.

Do you charge VAT or import duty?

For EU customers, applicable VAT is included (or calculated at checkout). For non-EU customers, you may be responsible for import duties or taxes in your country — please check local regulations. All USA orders are shipped DDP - we pay all duties and taxes.

Do I need to pay customs duties or taxes if I order from the UK?

No – if you are a customer from theUnited Kingdom, your order will be shippedwithout any additional customs duties, VAT, or hidden fees. This means you canbuy linen from the UK without taxes, as all charges are already included in the price.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

Because we produce items on demand, modifications or cancellations must be requested as soon as possible. If production hasn’t started yet, we may be able to adjust. Please email us immediately with your order number and your requested change.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship to?

We ship worldwide. We work with express couriers (FedEx, DHL) to ensure safe and fast delivery to the US, EU, UK, Canada, Australia, and more.

Where do you ship, and how long does delivery take?

We ship worldwide. For orders over €150, shipping is free. Delivery time depends on your location: typically within 2 - 6 business days in Europe, and 2 - 8 business days for overseas orders (excluding customs delays).

How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number via email. 

What if my order is delayed or lost?

If your tracking shows a delay, or you haven’t received your order within the expected timeframe, please contact us. We will investigate with the courier and keep you updated.

Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within14 days(or 30 days, depending on policy) of delivery for non-custom, non-defective items — provided they are unused, unwashed, with original tags, and in original packaging.

Which items are ineligible for return?
  • Custom or personalized orders;
  • Couch covers;
  • Duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases, bath towels (for health/hygiene reasons);
  • Pajama sets, pajama pants, nightdresses (for health/hygiene reasons).
Who pays for return shipping?

Unless the item is defective or we shipped the wrong product, return shipping costs are paid by the customer. We recommend using a trackable method. For defective items, we may reimburse the return shipping cost — contact us first.

How do I initiate a return or exchange?
  1. Email us at shop@sandsnowlinen.com with your order number, reason for return, photos (if defective), and preferred resolution (refund or exchange).
  2. We’ll respond within 1–2 business days with return instructions.
  3. You send the item back within the return window.
  4. Upon receiving and inspecting, we’ll process refund or ship replacement.
Can I exchange for a different size or color?

Yes, if the item is in resalable condition. You may exchange for another in-stock size/color; you may pay or receive a difference depending on price. For custom items, exchanges may not be possible.

Product Care & Maintenance

How do I wash linen products?
  • Use cold or lukewarm water (max 30–40 °C / 86–104 °F)
  • Use gentle, non-bleach detergent
  • Wash with similar colors
  • Avoid fabric softeners (they coat fibers)
  • Tumble dry on low heat or preferably air-dry
  • Remove while slightly damp and line-dry the rest
  • Iron while damp on medium heat, if you want a crisp look
  • Avoid long exposure to direct sunlight while drying to preserve color
Will linen shrink after washing?

Linen can shrink slightly (~2–4%) on first wash. We recommend using warm water, avoiding high heat drying, and ironing to restore shape.

Can linen items be dry-cleaned?

Yes. Linen is generally safe for dry cleaning. If your item has special linings, embellishments, or you prefer delicate handling, inform the cleaner it’s linen.

How should I store linen when not in use?

Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid plastic bags for extended storage — use breathable cotton or linen bags. Keep away from dampness, pests, and direct sunlight.

What about pilling, creasing, or wrinkles in linen?
  • Linen naturally wrinkles — this is part of its charm and “relaxed” look.
  • To reduce wrinkles, remove from the dryer while still slightly damp and fold or hang immediately.
  • For a smoother look, iron while damp or use a fabric steamer.
  • Pilling is rare in linen; if it occurs (due to friction), use a fabric shaver gently.

Bulk, Wholesale & Events

Do you offer wholesale or B2B pricing?

Yes. We regularly produce large orders, such as sets of napkins, tablecloths, or linen décor for special events. Please contact us in advance with quantities, sizes, and timeframe so we can provide a quote and delivery schedule.

Can I get your products with my brand / private label / custom branding?

Yes. We can collaborate on private label or custom branding for large orders (e.g. adding your logo or labels). Usually we require a minimum quantity (e.g. 50–100 units) and lead time. Contact shop@sandsnowlinen.com with your requirements.

Can you supply for events, weddings, or interior design projects?

Yes. We often work with event planners, interior designers, and stylists to supply linen sets, table linens, decorations, and coordinated textiles. Provide your quantities, timing, color theme, and location, and we’ll propose a solution.

Do you offer discount tiers for bulk orders?

Yes. Discounts depend on quantity, product type, and customizations. We provide tiered pricing discounts (e.g. 10%, 30% off) for larger orders — just ask in your quote request.
